Learners will be able to navigate the Empower LMS site and be able to build and create student friendly content. This content will then be scored and used to determine student proficiency toward identified standards within the Empower program.

1. Create a Group Instruction
a. Individual Work – Create a Group and Assign Students
2. Create an Activity and Assign to Group
a. Independent Work – Building an Activity
3. Score Activity – Activity Gradebook Tools Instruction

AM EMPOWER TRAINING

After today’s training, you should be able to do the following:

1. Login to the Empower site
2. Locate my profile and make profile changes if needed
3. Know the basic icons and function tools of the home page
4. Identify the Curriculum loaded into Empower (Target Browser)
a. Browse measurement topics, targets, scoring rubrics, taxonomy and resources
b. Identify particular student needs by group or individual
5. Know the basic navigation tools specific to a class
a. Rosters and student information
b. Report card comments, task grade book, grading spreadsheet
6. Create a Group
7. Create an Activity and Score
